Things have been quiet here at BitsBytesAndShifters.com. And I apologize for that. Between having a full time job, changing positions, but not titles within the same company, attending art school part time, and trying to find time to sleep I haven’t had much time for reflection, so writing seemed out of the question. But since everyone in this Illustrator class isn’t even able to do anything, even with detailed instructions I have a few minutes.
Here’s the 5 minute summery of my life
* In case you haven’t heard, I’m getting married. It’s happening pretty soon actually, in a few months.
* I moved to Long Beach with my fiance. The place is still a mess, filled with boxes and completely unorganized. But it’s home and it’s in a pretty swanky place
* For the last 8 months or so I’ve been attending The Art Institute at Santa Ana part time, working towards a Graphics Design degree. Though I don’t think I’m going to have the money or the time to finish it it’s made me a better worker who understands the fundamentals of design and gained a lot of points in confidence. It’s almost as if hard work is more important than raw ability and with practice people can get better.
* I’m working in Software again, so I actually do things at work now. Not fun things, but it’s better than just sitting around for 5 months trying to get a new job and being rejected left and right
*I've also become a super House fan and I can't stop watching it. It's soooooo good!
